Hello! My name is Randy, and I used to weigh 274 pounds with about 44% body fat and had to take two breaths to tie each shoe. Yeah, being unhappy was an understatement. Today, I am about 185 pounds with about 7.5% body fat and feel like a million bucks. I made a decision to start caring about myself and haven’t looked back ever since.

If it happened to me, it can happen to you. You see, a friend talked me into joining a group fitness class with him, and it literally changed my life. I didn’t want to do it at first, but I did. I went through a total and complete transformation. My instructor taught me how to believe in myself again. With a little hard work, dedication, determination, and consistency I became a new man.

The group fitness class made such an impact on my life that I decided to make a profession out of it. Now I am able to give back what was freely given to me and make huge differences in people’s lives. I cannot express in words how good it actually feels to see people’s self-esteem and confidence levels skyrocket as a direct result of them letting SOUL Fitness help them. Physical fitness is so crucial to living a better quality of life, not to mention longevity. Today, I live life to the fullest and have enough energy to do whatever I want (even keeping up with my 19-year old Air Force Cadet and my 21-year-old Navy sailor)!

I instruct group-fitness, 1 on 1 personal training, mobility, and yoga. Also, am a worldwide nutrition and motivational coach as well. Maybe you are not as out of shape as I was, but if you are not happy with your level of fitness, SOUL Fitness can and will make a difference in your life if you let it. Hey! I’m Allie and my fitness journey started when I was just 15 years old. I was always on the heavier side and I constantly felt sad, angry and down on myself. I found a love for fitness when I joined a family owned boot camp gym back home in Massachusetts. I had found my true calling in the health and fitness industry and I never want anyone to feel the way I did.

I went to college and got my Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science. I found an even deeper passion for exercise and health during those 4 years. Unfortunately, I also found extra pounds of fat that continued to pile on. I graduated with a sense of accomplishment but also feelings of doubt, negativity, and self-consciousness because I was the heaviest I had ever been. I remember thinking to myself “how did I just go 4 years learning about health and fitness but manage to do the complete opposite of what I was learning?” That was the moment I decided to put myself first and really look and feel the part of a fitness professional.

Fast forward one year today (May 2019). I have lost over 35 pounds, more than 10% body fat and have gained more knowledge and confidence than I ever thought possible in just a year. It has been the hardest experience of my life and it is not over yet. I still have many more goals to accomplish, but in the short time I have been with Soul Fitness, I can already see myself making massive strides towards those goals. This goes with huge improvements in my personal and professional life as well. I have been coaching people for more than 6 years, in many different types of fitness facilities, and so you can trust me when I say that Soul Fitness is where results happen.

I’m Jenny.   

I started working out when I graduated high school.  I was overweight and tired of feeling uncomfortable in my skin. 

For years I was off and on with my fitness.  

Until that magical moment when it all “clicked”!

We lived in the Midwest, and I found an inspiring group of people to encourage me and challenge me. 

I fell in love with fitness and became a kettlebell coach.

I love the feeling of accomplishment when I overcome the mental block of “I can’t” and find myself thinking not only am I capable, but, I’m strong and resilient! 

When we left the Midwest, I was almost convinced I’d never find “my people”.

That group of people who inspire and encourage and support you. Who feel that my success is their success. After 2 weeks,  I knew I found that at Soul Fitness. 

I love sharing what I’ve learned, and giving others the same opportunity I had.  To fall in love with fitness.  To learn that taking care of yourself, isn’t selfish, but necessary if we are going to care for others!

My name is Ana Vogler and I started my journey with Soul Fitness weighing over 200 pounds. I was obese, borderline diabetic and hypertensive. As a nurse practitioner, I know the importance of staying healthy body, mind and soul and how they are interlinked. I knew that if I wanted to educate my patients on their health I needed to be healthy. How could I tell someone who is obese that they are at risk for multiple things if I myself was obese? Seems pretty hypocritical. I tried different diets and pills hoping for a “quick” and “easy” solution but all that did is make me gain the weight back. So during one of my daughters school fundraising event, I bid on a fitness basket not knowing how much that would impact my life. I have lost over 60 pounds, my yearly blood-work has never looked better and I feel great! I am able to keep up with my three kids and a very busy demanding career. Most importantly I have met such a wonderful group of people who have forever changed my life. My journey continues each day why don’t you come and join me?

Hi, my name is Crystal Blaker and I joined the SOUL Fitness team in September 2018. I met Randy while walking a dog at the park and he invited me to try a free week of group classes. I had thought about getting back into shape recently so it was good timing. I tried the first week and was hooked. I loved the structure, routine, challenge and different exercise routines each class; it never became boring and that’s what kept me coming!

I also work full-time in my own business, Ruff House Dog Training alongside my husband Michael and 2 employees. I have a young daughter whom we love spending time with outdoors; hiking, riding bikes, swimming and more. So getting in shape and setting a good example of taking care of my body physically, mentally and nutritionally for my daughter was very important to me.
SOUL Fitness has not only helped me get in shape, gain muscle and drop body fat but more importantly become a better person! I am striving to be a healthier me inside and out.

My name is Ted Tengel and I am a certified group fitness instructor at SOUL Fitness.  I teach the M, W, F class from 6:00-7:15 PM at Naranja Park in Oro Valley.  I am so very happy that you inquired about our team!  I am fortunate enough to have been a member of SOUL Fitness since June 2018.  This program has changed my life and continues to do so on a daily basis.

My approach to health and fitness is simple…allow the body and mind to be pushed and imagine the impossible.  In my experience, the number one barrier to progress is getting stuck in the same routine.  If the body is not constantly challenged, then it will not grow.  SOUL Fitness prides itself on the ability to keep team members green and growing!  When one member succeeds, then we all succeed because we are ONE!  Come check us out!!

My name is Rigo Arce and I had the incredible fortune of meeting Coach Randy Brown, the owner of Soul Fitness, back in June 2018. At that time in my life, I did not take my health seriously. I did not exercise regularly and I gave very little thought to my nutrition. Though on the “outside” I appeared and even felt physically fit, I consumed whatever I wanted and whenever I wanted, giving zero regard to the consequences. Little did I know I was fooling myself. Carrying an extra 20 pounds, and potentially pre-diabetic, I would come to realize I was not in good health.
Randy challenged me to visit his Soul Fitness Training for 1 week…and with a little prodding, I accepted. That decision CHANGED MY LIFE!  While meeting an amazing group of people that first day, not only did I quickly realize how poorly out of shape I was, but I discovered a team of men and women who shared in the same every day challenges as I did. Soul Fitness revealed to me the need to change my outlook on food, exercise and rest! I learned that first week that Soul Fitness was more than just some exercise routines. Soul Fitness is a lifestyle! The training is calculated, building and strengthening muscles while burning fat and improving one’s cardio. Emphasis is placed on eating right, hydrating, and stretching regularly. Finally the culture embodies the heart & mind, bringing insightful meditations and educational readings that challenge the heart, and brings a balance to the usual every day business of our lives.
In the process of losing the 20 pounds, I have gained muscle and have burned fat. My cardio is much improved, and I can honestly say I “am” fit! I take my nutrition seriously, and I have never felt better! With more energy to carry me through my busy day, I have the strength and confidence to be a better husband, a better father and a better employer… Soul Fitness has allowed me to be a better servant to others!  I am proud of the “new me”. Because of this I decided to join the Soul Fitness Team to guide and encourage others. I joined SOUL Fitness 6 years ago when they were formally known as Brown’s Boot Camp. My intention was to only participate through the summer months while my daughter played softball.  Little did I know , 73+ months later it would become part of my regular routine. My goal was to increase my fitness and hopefully lose a few pounds, but what I gained was so much more and far more beneficial than increasing my push-up count or losing inches. I gained confidence, higher self-esteem, mental toughness and most of all balance. SOUL Fitness has truly become a lifestyle change for me and taught me life lessons that go far beyond fitness and nutrition. I’ve embraced the importance of accountability, commitment, teamwork, leadership and goal setting and how each play a significant role in all areas of my life, both personally and professionally.

I have been fortunate to be coached by the best of the best. I have made friendships with some of the most genuine people you will ever meet. 

I am grateful to be a part of such an amazing, life-changing program. We only get one body and one mind and through this program, I am able to take the best care of both.
