Hello! My name is Randy, and I used to weigh 274 pounds with about 44% body fat and had to take two breaths to tie each shoe. Yeah, being unhappy was an understatement. Today, I am about 185 pounds with about 7.5% body fat and feel like a million bucks. I made a decision to start caring about myself and haven’t looked back ever since.

If it happened to me, it can happen to you. You see, a friend talked me into joining a group fitness class with him, and it literally changed my life. I didn’t want to do it at first, but I did. I went through a total and complete transformation. My instructor taught me how to believe in myself again. With a little hard work, dedication, determination, and consistency I became a new man.

The group fitness class made such an impact on my life that I decided to make a profession out of it. Now I am able to give back what was freely given to me and make huge differences in people’s lives. I cannot express in words how good it actually feels to see people’s self-esteem and confidence levels skyrocket as a direct result of them letting Soul Fitness help them. Physical fitness is so crucial to living a better quality life, not to mention longevity. Today, I live life to the fullest and have enough energy to do whatever I want (even keeping up with my 2 teenage children and my 20-year-old navy sailor)!

I instruct 2 classes in Oro Valley and teach power yoga as well. Maybe you are not as out of shape as I was, but if you are not happy with your level of fitness, Soul Fitness can and will make a difference in your life if you let it. Hi! My name is Carie and I joined Brown’s Boot Camp in January of 2014. It was after a snow skiing trip with my husband and two young boys that I realized I couldn’t put my health on the backburner any longer. My boys were begging me to keep up with them and I owed it to them to find a way. I began my journey at 213 lbs with 50% body fat and a 44” waist. One year later I was down to 134 lbs with 25% body fat and a 29” waist. But, more important to me than the numbers, I found my confidence, my independence, and my voice. My family and I love our active life together!

I was overwhelmed with shock and emotion when Randy asked me if I ever considered becoming a trainer. It had honestly never crossed my mind. Now I am completely honored and excited to be able to inspire, support, and educate others towards their health and fitness goals.

I have spent the better part of 20 years trying to find a way to lose weight and keep it off. I tried diet pills, personal trainers, and numerous fad diets. I was successful at getting the weight off only to pack it all back on and then some. There has never been a program that felt sustainable for my life, until now! My journey is nowhere near complete. I can’t wait to see where the next year at BBC will take me.

When you want something, and I mean REALLY want it, you find a way to get it.

Chris Christiansen

My name is Chris Christiansen and I originally started Soul Fitness in September 2015 and was doing the SOUL Food Nutrition January 2016. The impact this has had on my personal fitness and my family’s fitness is hard to express in words. Although the workout plan is a good thing, the nutrition program is what stands out for me personally. I have been overweight my entire life. As a child, I did Weight Watchers and then as an adult, I tried just about all the fad diets out there. My weight and diet have always been a struggle for me. Roughly 5 years ago I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, which put me on the path of the Atkins diet. The problem I had was it just wasn’t sustainable for me for the long term. Now that I’ve been doing Soul Fitness and the nutrition program for almost 3 years now, my Type 2 Diabetes has been reversed and I eat more food (including carbs) than I ever have in the last 15 to 20 years. At 40 years of age, I am now in better shape than I was in high school. As stated by Randy Brown,”Anybody can do push-ups and jumping jacks in the park.” This program is so much more than that! The program will not only get you in shape, it will also help with your mental attitude, self-confidence, and outward appearance. The nutrition program will change the way you look at food and truly put you on a path for a “lifestyle change” that is sustainable for the long-term! Hello, my name is Angel. I began my journey with Brown’s Boot Camp in 2014 as a boot-camper. When I arrived, I was ready to change and that was all it took. My willingness to show up and be coached took me far.

I have lost 30 pounds and gone down 4 dress sizes. But more importantly than losing weight, I started noticing my mental and physical strength began to develop and boot camp became my safe place. The people that surrounded me wanted me to succeed and would help me get there. I visited other locations and was welcomed with open arms. You know you are in the right place when everyone associated with you puts in the effort and is willing to grow themselves and help you grow, as well. 

That is when I decided I wanted to be a coach. If I can help even one person grow and change, that’s what I want to be a part of. I have had a varied career that included Search and Rescue for United States Coast Guard, IT Director, Operations Director, Vice President of Sales, and now I am an instructor with Brown’s Boot Camp and it is exactly where I want to be!

Luke Brown

Hi, my name is Luke. I am Randy’s son and I have been doing Brown’s Boot Camp on and off ever since it started. The people that participate in Brown’s Boot Camp are part of my family and they are always willing to help me or another person in the BBC family out. From personal experience, I can share that working out with a team is a lot better than working out by myself. Even though I’m a teenager, this program still changed my life. I play soccer and I’m athletic, but Brown’s Boot Camp is the most challenging fitness program I have completed. When I’m not currently participating in a BBC camp, I stay plugged in by doing a lot of the behind the scenes tasks.

I’m am currently a BBCFE nutrition coach and I’m in training to become a personal trainer. My jobs also include managing the website and social media accounts. Almost all of our pictures and videos are handled by me. I really enjoy interacting with our Peeps and being able to change their lives. Come give us a try and I promise that you won’t regret it!

I joined Brown’s Boot Camp OVER 4.5 years ago, with the intent of only participating through the summer months. My goal was to increase my fitness and hopefully lose a few pounds, but what I gained was so much more and far more beneficial than increasing my push-up count or losing inches. I gained confidence, higher self-esteem, and most of all balance.

BBC has truly become a lifestyle change for me and taught me life lessons that go far beyond fitness and nutrition. I’ve embraced the importance of accountability, commitment, teamwork, leadership and goal setting and how each plays a significant role in all areas of my life, both personally and professionally.

I have been fortunate to be coached by the best of the best. I have made friendships with some of the most genuine people you will ever meet, all of whom started where I did and never been short of supportive, encouraging or motivating.

I am grateful to be a part of such an amazing, life-changing program. We only get one body and one mind and through this program, I am able to take the best care of both.
